Just a thought, if anyone wants to try the New Zealand Lifestyle we have a home to rent! It is lovely and an ideal child friendly family home. We have 4 bedrooms with three bathrooms. A large open plan living area with a snug. The house was built 4 years ago and is warm and snug in the winter and open and cool in summer.
If you are interested drop me an email.
We are leaving quite soon. All our stuff left in the container today. I've had my leaving do from work, it was very touching and people said some really nice things.
More soon.

Don't need an Auckland Rental but wanted to wish you well on your return the UK. Can you send the container back with goodies from Waitrose for us?
I've really enjoyed following your blog and although our reasons for coming to NZ may differ from your own it's be fun comparing blogs over the last year or so.

I don't know if you are still checking this blog, but I am considering moving to New Zealand to live for a year or two once I graduate from college. I was wondering if you have any advice. I live in the U.S. and I am studying to be a nurse. Any information you can give would be much appreciated!
thanks:)
Hi
I'm not sure if you're still reading this blog. I was so interested by your updates, and sad to hear it hasn't worked out for you, though your reasons for returning home are something which is tearing at our heart strings contemplating a move to NZ.
We are a mid 30's couple with a 15 month old daughter, who want to give her a better life, in a safer environment, and are contemplating a move to NZ. My partner's Uncle is a NZ citizen, living in Tapoe. My partner works in Construction and I work in HR/Training. What's work like for those industries? My partner's sticking block for taking the NZ plunge is leaving his parents behind - not for himself, but for our daughter, who even at this young age, idolises her grandad. My partner says he'd go tomorrow if they'd come with us.
Any advice?
Thank you

Hello- My family and I moved to NZ two weeks ago on a job transfer. The country is beautiful and the people kind.
Unfortunately we are having a very difficult time finding a place to live. My husband works in the CBD and we wanted to live in the Bays area.
We also have twins. Max and Maya will be two in May. We have applied for 4 properties and have been repeatedly told that the owner was worried about renting to children.
We are currently staying in a small temporary apartment in the city.
As you can imagine I am very frustrated and tired of living out of suitcases with no hope of an end in sight.
We have been told that the area we are looking might be the problem. I am wondering if the problem might be having twins. I have been told repeatedly "I don't know how you do it". I feel like telling them, don't worry I will manage the kids, I just need a place to live. My children are happy and well behaved.
I have wondered if being American is also a concern for property owners.
I would love any insight you could share. alisa_michelle@hotmail.com
Thank you for letting me vent.
Regards,
Alisa
