Hiya!! Lovely post JG. We have experienced the underground on many occasions and never liked it for a second, and now relate our travel times back to the fact it would take us 32 minutes to drive 4 miles across town and only 12 minutes to walk to work.

Why drive? Well we needed to go via the nursery first, then back across and to work. Nightmare times, we hated it.

When we lived down in Owhiro Bay Michael made work in 7 minutes by a very easy route, now it takes 22 minutes but again on his motorbike he gets to see the beauty that NZ has to offer everyday with NO STRESS.

Magical. We are very lucky people.

Adored Shadowlands even though Debra Wingers voice tends to annoy me. I have had a life long love affair with all things Clive Staples Lewis. Yes I was one of those little girls who sat in her wardrobe aged six desperately trying to get through to Narnia. I can't even begin to describe how overjoyed I was when I heard Andrew was directing the movies and then to find they were being filmed here. I was also heartbroken that had I known sooner I could have been one of the "mothers" at the train station. I am not sure I will ever recover from that one lol ( kidding but I was seriously annoyed at myself)

I got a ticket last time I crossed the bridge apparently for following too closely, mortifying lol.
Good thing I don't go over it very often. My commute is from the bedroom to the living room much less dangerous ;)
